GATEWAY TO THE DUNES
Guadalupe is a hidden gem of a small town destination on the coast. It is known for its Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes National Wildlife Refuge, home to a diverse assortment of endangered flora and fauna. Nearby is the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area, the only beach on the Central Coast where off-road and 4×4 vehicles can be driven. If you enjoy Mexican food, Guadalupe offers absolutely authentic and delicious cuisine. Oso Flaco lake (meaning “Skinny Bear”) provides a boardwalk trail through this lush area of untarnished beauty and wildlife in its element. Come out and cruise the dunes, watch the birds and animals, and grab a bite to eat. You won’t be disappointed.
