Brunch at the Santa Maria Inn – Santa Maria, CA
Looking for a great place to go for Sunday Brunch?
The Historic Santa Maria Inn has been a place to stay and dine that has hosted the rich and famous for 100 years. To celebrate 100 great years, there is now a new Century Room featuring a fabulous Sunday Brunch. Let me tell you. It is impressive.
First of all, the surroundings are a great place to spend a Sunday with friends and family. Circular comfortable booths face the garden patio with outdoor seating. Outdoors, you will be surrounded by tropical plants while enjoying the sounds of the fountain in the enchanting courtyard… is a perfect setting suitable for a feast for Kings and Queens. And of course, the lucky folks who visit or live in the beautiful Santa Maria Valley.
Let’s talk food! There are so many choices that every guest is bound to be pleased. As soon as you’re seated, a friendly server will ask if you’d like champagne or a mimosa with your brunch. I personally took advantage of the Bloody Mary bar that had everything you could possibly want. It rivaled the bloody Mary bar at Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris hotel in Las Vegas.
Omlete bars are a personal favorite. What’s better than being able to stuff anything and as much as you want an omelet made special to satisfy your hunger? Ham, crispy bacon, herbs, fresh vegetables and a variety of different types of cheese are a few of the options.
Fresh Seafood is available in abundance along the lines of enormous platters of shrimp and mussels. The meat carving station offered 3 different choices sliced to your liking. Try the roasted turkey. It was tender and perfectly prepared. On the lighter side, there were several fresh prepared salads and a salad bar that had anything you could possibly want to put on your plate. In addition, the fruit platter looked like something you’d find in a tropical resort in Maui. Another favorite at the Santa Maria Inn’s fabulous brunch was the cheese platter with more cheese choices and dried fruits that it rivaled any charcuterie platter found at wineries from here to Napa Valley.
I haven’t covered it all, but I’m out of time. Get out there! Have some fun and sumptuous food for your Sunday Brunch. It’s so delicious, be prepared to waddle to your car after indulging on possibly the Best Brunch you’ve ever savored.
